At around 10 years old, Collins Fai was a boy in Bamenda, Cameroon with a football at his feet and a dream in his heart. He was spotted by a football visionary who would later become one of the founders behind Prospotted — someone who saw not just who Collins was, but who he could become. That opportunity brought Collins to FC Bamenda Sports Academy, where his talent was developed and nurtured. He grew not only as a player but as a leader, eventually becoming the team's captain. From there, his career kept climbing. He turned professional with Union Douala in Cameroon, then moved to Europe in 2013 with Dinamo București in Romania. In 2016, Standard Liège in Belgium came calling — Collins would spend six years there, making more than 160 appearances and winning the Belgian Cup twice. His journey later took him to the Saudi Pro League with Al-Tai. On the international stage, Collins became an Indomitable Lion, playing alongside teammates like Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, André Onana, André-Frank Zambo Anguissa, Vincent Aboubakar, Karl Toko Ekambi, and Bryan Mbeumo. In 2017, he was part of the Cameroon squad that won the Africa Cup of Nations. In 2022, under coach Rigobert Song, he was selected to represent Cameroon at the FIFA World Cup in Qatar — the very tournament he had once dreamed of as a boy in Bamenda.
